MINING THE ELLIPSE

The work in this series explored the symbolic use of the elliptical form for its breadth of historical significance. Geologic time was represented by lead, marine fossils, cast hydrostone strata formations, and the internal spiral shape of a shell. Lotus petal imagery was woven into the work for its symbolism and pure beauty.
